Review of Sen Çal Kapimi (You Knock on My Door) Ep 1-11
I am not sure If you are liking my series reviews so far but If I look at the stats, I am assuming my Adorable readers are loving my candid opinion. So, here comes the Next Turkish Series Review about Sen Çal Kapimi (You Knock on My Door) starring Hande Ercel and Kerem Bursin. Eleven episodes have been aired. I have binged watched all the eleven episodes, and let me tell you a secret, I AM LOVING IT.
The chemistry between Eda and Serkan is amazing. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of Hande Ercel. The last show I have watched of her was Ask Laftan Analamz, and my focal point was Burak Deniz and his long eyelashes💗. I am not undermining her presence as she was good in that show but so far I am inclined towards her performance in Sen Çal Kapimi. She seems more natural and suited for the role. I am not a professional, just giving my opinion as a fan and a viewer.
I quick recap or a short synopsis for the reader with no spoiler (I HATE SPOILERS).
Eda (Hande Ercel), who's passionate about her studies, accost Serkan Bolat (Kerem Bursin) a workaholic eligible bachelor, who cuts off her international educational scholarship and broke Eda's dream of going to Italy and becoming and landscape designer. Serkan offers Eda to give back her scholarship but for that, she has to pretend to be his fiance for two months to make her Ex-girlfriend jealous who's going to marry another man soon. Although, Eda rejects the offer at first as she HATES Serkan. Although, the situation changes and she has to accept the offer. While pretending to be engaged, Eda and Serkan began to experience the attraction towards each other. Soon, they forgot are they faking love or there is something else between them.
Eda seemed a positive, ambitious, unflappable young girl. On the contrary, Sarkan is a bit rude, hyper but still loving person who doesn't trust anyone but himself (Plus, he's good looking😉). There is an honorary mention without which this review would be useless such as Elcin Afacan, who's playing the character of Melek. This girl is super cute. She is the female version of Ceycey from Erkeci Kus. Melek is the heart of this drama for me😍. Her belief in true love can make anyone start daydreaming about a knight and shining armor. Plus, the way she always addresses Sarkan as Son-in-Law is adorable. And how can I end this blog without complimenting the song Glod by Tolan Shaw. It's like the diamond in the crown. Perfect!👑 and the engagement ring is really gorgeous.
Additionally, I want to thanks Fox for not removing the subtitles option from YouTube for Sen Çal Kapimi. Its a huge favor you are doing to your international viewers because it's always a hustle to browse a suitable website to watch Turkish series with English subtitles. And please open the English Subtitles option for Bay Yanlis. It's a humble request.
Overall, This series is really cute and fun to watch and I am hooked with it. Looking forward to coming hurdles and Sarkan and Eda's adorable yet scary fights. Please, do share with me your fan theories about what will happen next in the show in the below comment section. I would love to read your views. We can build our community here. And do tell If you want me to write about another show you love. I am open to recommendations.
Until then
